Blizzard of 77

Created by joeobee 10 years ago
I had an unplanned extended stay at the Hohensee's when Paul and I decided to go ice fishing just before the blizzard hit. I was 12 and couldn't get home for a few days. I remember being grateful for how Dr. Hohensee generously and instantaneously absorbed me into the family and treated me as one of his own for the days we were all snowed in. I spent a lot of time visiting Paul as a kid and I still fondly remember and enjoyed his boisterous and outgoing personality, (inherited by Paul), his joie de vivre, and his strength as a father. I also remember him as a talented ophthalmologist, having pulled a burr fragment from under my eyelid ("That looks like it hurts...")! Please accept my deep condolences. Joe O'Brien
